Flash: Workers' Comp Rate Hearing To Be Broadcast Live

The upcoming California workers’ comp rate hearing is going to be provided on broadcast television quality streaming video live as it happens by Workers’ Comp Executive.  The gavel to gavel coverage will include our action news team featuring Capitol Correspondent Bess Shapiro, Editor Brad Cain, Publisher Dale Debber, and brought to you via the magic of 4 cameras, and 8 of our journalism and video interns.  Workers’ Comp Executive  is very proud that it will be our interns who, for the most part, will be producing, directing, manning (and womaning) the cameras, switchers, lights and other equipment necessary for the event.

Those attending the hearing in person will be treated to a big screen display of our live feed and will be able to see those testifying and asking questions as close up and intimately as our online viewers.

As all of our loyal readers know this will be our first foray into LIVE TV although we’ve been producing video for about a year. So we’re as excited as we can be and we hope you are too.  And while we don’t have the budget (or the advertisers yet) to produce something that looks exactly like network coverage we think we can get fairly close.

The live online coverage of the rate hearing will be free to the entire community. We will be able to support as many viewers as required.  You are welcome to invite clients and to provide them with tune in instructions.

The live broadcast will start Monday June 8th at 12:45 California time and continue until the end.  There will be a link to the LiveTV page posted mid-week. We will provide a test page so viewers can check in advance to make sure they will be able to see and hear all of the action.

We will update you via email later in the week.
