Resume: After joining the company in 1976, he moved quickly through the ranks, including roles as examiner, claims supervisor, and assistant claims manager. In 1985, Dave was promoted to claims manager/assistant vice [resident, followed by promotions to vice president of the Southern California division in 1986 and vice president of Southern California claims in 1993.
Boards: He became a member of the board of directors in 1995. Dave participates in many industry groups, including the California Workers' Compensation Institute (CWCI), where he is on the executive committee and previously served as chairman of the board of directors and chair of the claims committee. He is also an active member of PCI/ACIC, as well as former chairman of the claims committee and AIA claims committee. Currently, Dave is involved in special committee work for the Workers' Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau (WCIRB), Department of Workers' Compensation, and Department of Insurance

A 30-year-plus veteran at Republic Indemnity, Mitchell has overseen claims operations at the carrier since 1994. In addition to being a member of Republic's board of directors, Mitchell also coordinates the company's governmental affairs efforts and has been active in a number of industry groups, including California Workers' Compensation Institute, Workers' Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau of California, and California Chamber of Commerce.
