Washington man ordered to repay state $41K in workers’ comp
A 53-year-old Kent, Washington man, who claimed his chest injuries as a result of a work-related vehicle accident prevented him from working but took a series of five jobs while he was receiving workers’ compensation, has been sentenced to repay the state more than $41,000. He also was sentenced to serve 240 hours of community service and two years on probation. Kent Reporter

Employees on the production line of a Chicago tortilla company who have filed complaints with government agencies about its labor practices allege the company, El Milagro, is unlawfully intimidating workers by warning them about their immigration status and by engaging in employee surveillance, some of it by armed security guards.
