Kentucky: City’s workers’ comp provider sues sheriff’s office for reimbursement
Danville, Kentucky’s workers’ comp provider, the Kentucky League of Cities’ Workers’ Compensation Fund, is suing the Boyle County Sheriff’s Office, the sheriff and a deputy for payments it has made to a police officer following an injury he sustained by the deputy as they apprehended a suspect earlier this year. South Carolina lawmaker makes second attempt at COVID-19 bill
For the second time, a South Carolina Republican lawmaker is filing a COVID-19 workers’ compensation bill that would cover first responders and healthcare employees if they get the COVID-19 virus. Mother of man who died in storage tank incident challenges Alabama workers’ comp law
A woman whose 20-year-old son died in 2019 of environmental asphyxia after collapsing inside a storage tank he was cleaning in Sylacauga, Alabama is planning to meet with state lawmakers in an attempt to get the workers’ compensation law changed in cases where an employer clearly violates state or federal law.
