Alberta WCB Apologizes to Firefighter Who Became Homeless
A former Calgary firefighter who became homeless after his Workers Compensation Board payments were cut off is getting an apology from the board. Greg McDougall, a nearly 30-year veteran, was diagnosed in 2001 with post-traumatic stress disorder because of his job and can no longer work; the board cut of his compensation after 11 months and he became homeless within a year. Survey: Majority of Province’s Workplaces Break Safety Laws
