Union files charge against GE over vaccine policy
The IUE-CWA labor union has filed a charge with the National Labor Relations Board against General Electric Co. over the company’s handling of its Covid-19 vaccine mandate. One point of contention is whether newly vaccinated employees who cannot work because of vaccine side effects would need to take short-term disability leave or if they would receive workers’ compensation, according to an agent for the union. Michigan chambers, industry leaders oppose federal vaccine mandate
The Grand Rapids Chamber has joined with many others across the state of Michigan, as well as industry groups, urging the Biden administration to reconsider his vaccine mandate.
