Wyoming agency publishes workers’ comp summary for COVID claims

The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services has published an initial summary of COVID-19 workers’ compensation claims filed as of January 11. Last May, state lawmakers temporarily eased workers’ compensation eligibility for COVID-19 with a presumptive coverage clause that expired on December 30, and the initial report likely contains most, but not all of the claims that might qualify under the temporary presumptive coverage period, according to an official. Wisconsin first responders lobby for PTSD workers’ comp

Wisconsin lawmakers have been told if they don’t allow policemen, firemen, and officers, and EMS personnel to file for workers’ compensation for post-traumatic stress disorder, the suicide rate in this workforce will double and triple over the next 20 years.
