Wuhan market likely origin source of COVID-19: Study
Two studies released over the weekend conclude a market in Wuhan, China, that sold live animals likely was the point of origin for the COVID-19 pandemic. The studies have yet to be published in a scientific journal, but the researchers who analyzed data from a variety of sources concluded it was present in live mammals sold at the Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market in late 2019. CDC announces easing of COVID-19 mask requirements
Following a decline in the number of U.S. infections and hospitalizations from the coronavirus’ highly-contagious omicron variant, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention on Friday said most Americans are safe without a COVID-19 mask while indoors, including in classrooms. Masks were previously recommended for people who live in communities with high transmission rates – which per recent data includes about 95% of U.S. counties. Just the News
Cannabis is top job creator in America right now
Leafly’s annual Cannabis Jobs Report, created in partnership with Whitney Economics, shows America’s cannabis industry sold nearly $25 billion in products and created more than 100,000 new jobs in 2021, the fifth year in a row the cannabis industry saw an annual job growth rate higher than 27%, with a 33% increase in cannabis jobs in just a single year.
