New Jersey county pays $315K to settle injured corrections officer’s wrongful termination suit

Cumberland County has paid an ex-corrections officer $315,000 to settle a lawsuit alleging he was wrongfully fired after suffering an injury on the job. The lawsuit had accused the county of retaliation, wrongful termination and violation of the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination. NJ.com

 

Florida clinic where lead factory employees received flawed care to close

A Tampa health clinic whose medical director failed to warn local lead factory employees that the amount of metal in their bodies put them in danger will close, the clinic announced.
