Ohio BWC to distribute face masks, gov says

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has announced the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation will be distributing at least 2 million non-medical-grade facemasks to Ohio employers who are covered by the agency. The coverings cost less than $1 apiece and will be paid for by the BWC’s existing budget with no impact to employer premiums, according to the agency. WSYX/WTTE

New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy last month signed a law providing protection to healthcare employees from malpractice lawsuits alleging death or injury related to the coronavirus pandemic. Hundreds of Massachusetts workers say companies failed to protect them from COVID-19

Massachusetts employees, many of them deemed essential workers, have filed hundreds of complaints with the federal government in recent weeks, alleging employers failed to keep them protected from the coronavirus.
