Pennsylvania: Erie County taxpayers pay millions in workers’ comp claims for sheriff’s office

More than 600 workers’ compensation claims have been filed by Erie County, Pennsylvania Sheriff’s Office employees since 2005. In total, the claims amount to about $20 million in taxpayer money because the county self-funds all claims. Missouri county receives recognition for employee safety

On Monday, Cape County, Missouri was recognized by MAC Trust, the Missouri Association of Counties Workers’ Compensation Trust, for having the largest percentage decrease in workers’ comp claims in recent years among the 17 first-class and charter counties in the state. Southeast Missourian

 

Connecticut Workers’ Compensation Commission operational suspension ends next week

Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont’s suspension of non-critical Workers’ Compensation Commission operations during the coronavirus pandemic will end June 2. Lamont’s Executive Order 7K, issued in March 2020, suspended all non-critical commission operations and associated requirements. CBIA
