Ohio BWC approves premium cut for public employers
The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation will reduce premium rates for public employers by an average of 10 percent in 2020. The agency’s directors approved the reduction Friday August 23. The reduction will take effect on January 1, 2020 and will be the agency’s 11th premium reduction for public employers since 2009, according to the BWC. Crain’s Cleveland Business

Lawsuit alleges attack by Illinois fireman against colleague
A Kankakee, Illinois firefighter repeatedly struck a colleague who was trying to rescue an elderly woman from a fire last October, according to a recently filed lawsuit.
