Connecticut OKs Suit by Dismissed Worker

BRIDGEPORT -- A judge in the US District Court in Bridgeport has held that a dismissed worker can file suit against his former employer for age discrimination even though he signed a contract saying he would not follow up on any legal action in exchange for severance pay of about $9,000.The judge, Alvin Thompson, held that the waiver was non-binding because it failed to comply with the Older Workers Benefit Protection Act, a federal law that requires disclosure of such agreements.The lawyer for t
