Executive director of South Carolina workers’ comp fund fired

South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster on Monday fired the executive director of State Accident Fund, which provides workers’ compensation insurance to state government employees, and called for an investigation into whether she helped steer a $600,000 government contract to her husband’s company. Pennsylvania approves $912M relief bill

Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf on Friday thanked the state legislature and signed a relief bill that transfers $145 million from the Workers’ Compensation Security Fund to fund grants worth up to $50,000 for restaurants, bars and hotels with fewer than 300 employees. Judge refuses to dismiss case stemming from supermarket employee’s death

Policeman accused of using fake doctor’s note
