North Carolina W/C Regulation Called ‘Giant Step Backward’

RALEIGH -- A regulation being proposed by the North Carolina Industrial Commission is being called a "Giant Step Backward" by a number of industry trade groups, the Executive has been informed by one of those groups, the National Association of Independent Insurers.Proposed rule 409 would slow down claim processing and payment and would delay many employees' return to work, according to Nancy Schroeder, NAII's director of workers' compensation.
