Connecticut Workers’ Compensation to Be Cut by a Smidgen

HARTFORD -- As a result of fewer fraudulent claims and workers returning to their jobs more quickly after an injury, the state of Connecticut will be able to reduce a surcharge on workers' comp premiums by 1 percentage point from 12.5 percent to 11.5 percent effective July 1.The surcharge is paid by employers to finance the state's Second Injury Fund.
