Georgia Workplace Drug Abuse Program Gives Employers 7.5% Discount

ATLANTA - Employers operating a certified drug abuse prevention program in the workplace can now qualify for a 7.5 percent discount in their workers' comp rates, a 2.5 percent increase over the program last year.The legislature which approved the increase in the discount also doubled the length of time it is applicable from four to eight years.A spokesperson for the Georgia Industry Association, which lobbied for the enhanced discounts, said the incentive was increased when it was seen that t
