New Bill Could Hasten Open Rating in Nevada

CARSON CITY, NEVADA -- As the July 1 startup date for Nevada's competitive workers' comp market nears, the legislature is pushing two controversial bills, one of which could shorten the timeline for instituting an open rating environment.Through prior legislation passed in 1997 and 1998, Nevada is moving from a monopolistic market to a competitive marketplace this July 1st.
