Study Recommends Abolishing Pa. Workers’ Comp Board

A study done by the research agency of the Pennsylvania Legislature is recommending eliminating the state's Workers' Comp Appeals Board as a solution to lowering workers' comp costs.The study reasons that because most injured workers willingly file claims with the Board, they would be less willing to file a claim in the Commonwealth Court where the costs are much higher. The study was commissioned by the Legislature to, among other things, find out how the state could reduce litigation
