Kristen Schwenkmeyer, the long-sitting Senate appointee to the Commission on Health and Safety and Workers' Compensation, was selected last Friday to serve as the panel's chair. A employer representative, Schwenkmeyer takes the seat recently vacated by former chair John Wilson, president of Schools Excess Liabilities Fund, who was appointed to the commission by former governor Pete Wilson. John Wilson left the commission earlier this month, replaced by Schwarzenegger appointee Catherine Aguilar.
