Illinois: Officer involved in crash that killed 73-year-old may get $140K in workers’ comp
The Naperville, Illinois city council on Tuesday will consider approving a $140,000 lump sum workers’ compensation settlement for the police officer involved in a 2017 traffic crash that killed a 73-year-old woman. The 51-year-old officer would retire and be eligible to collect regular police pension benefits, but would not apply for duty disability, non-duty police pension benefits, under the agreement.
