Arizona insurance agent sentenced for premium fraud

A former insurance agent has been sentenced to 2.5 years in prison and four years probation for committing fraudulent schemes and forgery while operating insurance agencies in Surprise and Peoria, Arizona. An investigation reportedly found he stole over $69,000 from one company that provided the funds to pay workers’ compensation, general liability, and automobile insurance premiums. KTAR (Phoenix)

 

Ohio suit against drug middlemen delayed

Ohio’s first lawsuit against middlemen accused of overcharging state agencies for prescription drugs has again been delayed to next November. The Ohio the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation is alleging a pharmacy benefit manager overcharged the agency between 2015 and 2019 by $16 million. Patch
