Massachusetts businesses to see workers’ comp rate decrease

The Massachusetts State Rating Bureau (SRB) and the Workers’ Compensation Rating and Inspection Bureau (WCRIB) have reached an agreement with the state and will rollback 3.5% on workers’ compensation insurance. The settlement is expected to save businesses about $80-million. The new rates will begin July 1, 2022. WWLP

 

Texas Mutual gives $100K safety training grant to college

Texas Mutual Insurance Company has presented a grant to Texarkana College for $100,000 to provide safety training courses that benefit community employers, students, and the general public. New Hampshire AG finds ‘misjudgments’ by healthcare org’s trustees

An investigation into the governance of a New Hampshire hospital that declared bankruptcy in 2020 has found its board of trustees “made misjudgments and were too deferential to the recommendations and conclusions the long-term executives,” but did not breach their fiduciary duties. Concord Monitor
