Vancouver Medical Clinic Reopens
A Vancouver medical clinic that was forced to serve only non-British Columbia residents and workers’ compensation patients after the province threatened to shut it down reopens. The clinic initially opened in December to provide emergency care to those willing to pay for immediate service, even though the Medicare Protection Act prohibits doctors or clinics from charging patients for medically necessary services.
