Draft Changes To Workers’ Comp Medical Treatment Guidelines Raises Concerns

The Division of Workers' Compensation is considering changes to the medical treatment utilization schedule (MTUS) that is the guide for determining if a proposed medical treatment for an injured worker is up to snuff. But instead of raising the standard of care, employers and carriers are concerned the proposal will actually lower it. What's in the works and why might injured worker be getting worse care if the changes go forward?
