Georgia NCCI Ties 33.6% Rate Filing to Reform Bill

ATLANTA - Georgia employers are going to be unhappy campers if the department of insurance approves a 33.6 percent workers' comp insurance rate hike filed last week by the National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI).The requested hike will be tempered when and if the governor signs HB 1679, as the NCCI has agreed to lower its request to 26.8 percent.The NCCI filing was made just one week after the general assembly passed long overdue reform legislation, the product of months of negotiati
