Nevada May Trade State Fund Privatization for Benefit Increases

CARSON CITY, NEVADA -- The governor of Nevada and other Republicans in the state legislature are inching towards an agreement with Democrats that would increase workers' comp benefits in exchange for privatizing the state fund, according to sources.But the bill also contains language that could open the door for bad faith actions to be taken against workers' comp carriers in the civil court system. Insurers aren't too keen about the language.
